Bhubaneswar: With an aim to minimise labour migration from various districts of Odisha, the State Government has decided to include the Labour department under it’s ‘Mo Sarkar’ programme from January 2020.
This was informed by Labour Minister Sushant Singh following a meeting with District Labour Officers and officials of the department in Bhubaneswar today.
Singh informed that government has prepared an action plan to curb labour migration and for their proper rehabilitation.
Odisha has already set up help centres for the migrant labourers in Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
Moreover, the State government had earlier launched the Workers Welfare Board for the labourers working in organised sectors and Unorganised Social Security Board for those working in unorganised sectors.
