Bhubaneswar: The cold wave condition is likely to prevail in most parts of Odisha from today. The chill condition will be felt more during night.
Yellow warning has been issued for some districts including Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Jharsuguda, Sundergarh and Deogarh for today.
Sundergarh, Jharuguda, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Angul, Deogarh, Boudh, Sonepur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Balasore and Bhadrak districts have been put on alert.
The Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) has directed the respective district Collectors to remain alert to meet any possible eventuality.
The mercury is likely to witness a slight rise after February 10.
As per the prediction of the Met department, Sundergahr, Jharsguda, Keonjhar, Deogarh, Mayurbhanj, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur and Bolangir districts are likely to experience relatively less cold condition after February 10.
