CMC seals off coaching centre, market complex for COVID norms violation

Cuttack: The authorities of Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) sealed a coaching centre and a market complex in Millenium City for flouting COVID norms on Thursday.

During an inspection today, it was found that the students of the coaching centre were not wearing masks and not maintaining social distancing. The CMC officials sealed the coaching centre for an indefinite period.

In another inspection, the CMC along with the Mangalabag police jointly sealed Ranihat Hind Cinema hall and Super Sales Centre for not following COVID norms properly. The enforcement team of CMC sealed the places till further orders.

Apart from this, the joint enforcement squad also found that the concerned market complex was overcrowded and it was subsequently sealed off.
