Cuttack: The Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) has taken stringent measures to ensure the safety and hygiene of food being served at the ongoing Bali Yatra festival. With the event attracting lakhs of visitors daily, the CMC conducted raids on numerous food stalls to inspect the quality and hygiene standards.
During the raids, officials discovered several stalls selling stale and substandard food items. These items were immediately destroyed to prevent any health hazards. Vendors found violating the hygiene norms were either fined or issued strict warnings.
A CMC spokesperson emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of food safety, especially during large public gatherings like Bali Yatra. “Our primary goal is to ensure the health and safety of all visitors. We will continue to monitor and take necessary actions against any violations,” the spokesperson stated.
