CM Naveen Unveils Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Museum and Interpretation Center at Satyabhamapur

Bhubaneswar: To mark the 174th birth anniversary of Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Das, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik this evening inaugurated the ‘Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Museum and Interpretation Center’ at Satyabhamapur, the birthplace of ‘Madhu Babu’.

Attending the event through video conferencing, the Chief Minister paid humble tributes to Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Das and said that Satyabhamapur is a pilgrimage site for all Odias. He said the museum would continue to inspire everyone, especially the younger generation, to protect the dignity of Odia people.

Revealing that Satyabhamapur is being developed as a model village, the Chief Minister said that the government would continue its efforts to make the village an important tourist destination.

Attending the function, Minister for Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, Pratap Jena, and Salepur MLA Prashant Behera also spoke on the occasion.

Cuttack District Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani delivered the welcome address and Mr. Prashant Kumar Rout, President of Satyabhamapur Madhusudan Sanskriti Sangha, thanked the participants.

The function was virtually attended by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra and senior officials at the Lok Seva Bhavan.

A short film about the Utkala Gouraba Madhusudan Museum and Interpretation Center was screened on the occasion.

The museum houses a variety of rare items, including Madhu Babu’s birth place, rare childhood photos, birth chart, and ‘dhinkis’.
