Bhubaneswar: Odisha Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal on Wednesday contributed Rs 20 lakh to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) to fight coronavirus.
The Governor has contributed the sum from his discretionary grant to help fight the deadly coronavirus. Prof Lal’s official handle of Twitter said : “ Hon’ble Governor contributed ₹20 lakhs to #CMReliefFund from his Discretionary Grant and has appealed people to contribute generously towards #CMRF to support Government’s efforts in our fight against #COVID19Pandemic.”

Taking to Twitter, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik thanked Dr Lal for the noble act. Naveen said:-

Worthwhile to mention that as many as 9,889 persons in the state have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus in 24 hours. With the detection of fresh cases, the total number of infected persons in Odisha has reached 489641.
