Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik skipped his usual visit to Puri Srimandir on New Year Day and prayed to Lord Jagannath from his residence Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar.
Early this morning, the Chief Minister paid obeisance to Lord Jagannath from his residence and sought the Lord’s blessings. A video of the same is now doing rounds on social media.

It may be mentioned here that the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri was closed today due to local restrictions imposed by the district authorities as a precautionary measure against COVID-19.
On the occasion of the New Year 2022, the Odisha CM extended his heartfelt congratulations to the people of the State early this morning. He wished the cooperation of all in the effort of the Government to make Odisha a prosperous and empowered State.
