Bhubaneswar: The first AC bus ‘Jagannath Express’ left from Sheragada in Ganjam for Jagannath Dham Puri today. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off the Jagannath Express AC bus service between Sheragada-Puri today through a video conference.
This bus service has been started by the Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC).
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that with this new bus service between Sheragada-Puri, the people of Sheragadacan now easily visit Puri to have the darshan of Lord Shri Jagannath.
The Chief Minister hoped that this new bus service will be especially helpful for many people of Ganjam who go to Puri for Habisa, especially in the holy month of Kartika.
The Chief Minister said that whether it is 5T School Transformation or Temple Renovation, Ganjam is always ahead of all. Maa Tara Tarini temple development work has brought joy to the people of the district. Similarly, the transformation of 5T Schoold has created enthusiasm among students and parents.
The Chief Minister congratulated Ganjam for winning the best district council award at the national level in the field of Panchayat Raj.
The Chief Minister said that Ganjam district can achieve many more successes in the coming days if the blessings and cooperation of the people continue to shower.
MP Chandrashekhar Sahu, Ganjam District Collector, OSRTC officials and Panchayat representatives of Sheragada were present in the event.
