Kandhamal: Passengers plying a bus had a close shave after the four-wheeler caught fire on NH-59 at Daringbadi Chhak under Baliguda police limits in Kandhamal district.
According to reports, the incident occurred while the private bus ‘Rudrakali’, carrying over 30 passengers, was en route towards Bhanjanagr from M Rampur when an electrical short circuit triggered fire inside the vehicle.
However, occupants of the bus alighted on time avoiding any major injuries. On being informed, Fire Service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
