Class I student mauled to death by stray dogs in Mayurbhanj


Mayurbhanj: In a tragic incident, a seven-year-old boy died after being attacked by a pack of stray dogs at Balisudura village under Jashipur police limits of Mayurbhanj district on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Rinku Maharana, a Class I student of Rahanda government upper primary school in the district.

According to sources, the minor boy left home at around 10 am today and was on his way to his school when eight to 10 stray dogs attacked him near a paddy field.

The internal organs of the minor boy were pulled out by the stray dogs. The innocent boy could not protect himself from the stray dogs and died, some eyewitnesses said.

Police visited the spot and sent the body to Karanjia hospital for post-mortem. A case of unnatural death has been registered.
