Citizenship Law: R-Day celebration marred as Indian-Americans protest in 30 US cities

Washington: A large number of Indian-Americans had protested in 30 US cities against Citizenship Law on the occasion of 71st Republic Day.

The R-Day celebrations in the US on Sunday were marred by protests and marches. The supporters, however, appeared to be outnumbered by protesters, who held peaceful rallies and marches in various US cities, carrying anti-CAA banners and raising slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

They also demanding CAA’s repeal and revocation of the proposed National Register for Citizens. They said these regimes are destroying India’s secular fabric.
