Bhubaneswar: Following allegations of exam centre fixing, the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) on Sunday decided to change 20 Plus II Exams Centres
The decision was taken at a meeting of the Examination Managing Committee of CHSE.
Informing the media, CHSE Controller of Examinations, Bijay Kumar Sahu, said that a new list of examination centres will be prepared by changing 20 centres for the Plus II exams scheduled to begin on March 7.
On February 7, Congress MLA Santosh Singh Saluja and the BJD MLA Kishore Mohanty, members of the Examination Managing Committee, alleged that some tainted CHSE officials had replaced the previous list of examination centres with a new list by adding some colleges where malpractices were reported last year.
Following this, the Odisha Abhibhabak Mahasangh demanded a Vigilance probe into the matter. Besides, they also requested the Odisha Human Rights Commission (OHRC) to urgently intervene in the matter.
