Bhubaneswar: An expert team comprising senior educationists and CHSE officials will soon be formed within 15 days to decided the evaluation criteria of Plus II students. This was informed by School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash.

“An expert committee will be formed within 15 days to finalize common evaluation criteria after reviewing the evaluation methods of CBSE and CISCE,” said the Minister.

The minister also said that the results will be announced according to the deadline, he added

However, an alternative evaluation method in the State is problematic as no internal test for Plus II second-year students have been conducted and most of the Plus II colleges in the state have not conducted any exam for first-year students.

Notably, on Friday, Odisha government had announced the cancellation of this year’s Plus II board examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) in view of the COVID-19 situation.

Earlier this week, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) had cancelled the Class XII board exams. Several states including Gujarat, Karnataka and Maharashtra had also cancelled Class XII board examinations.
