Chinese soldiers entered almost 1 km into Uttarakhand’s Barahoti
New Delhi: Amid the military stand-off in Doklam, the Chinese soldiers transgressed into Uttarakhand’s Barahoti and came into as much as one kilometre of Indian Territory.
The incursion into Uttarakhand occurred on July 25 at about 9 am. Chinese soldiers transgressed into between 800 metres to 1 kilometer of Indian Territory and people were reportedly asked to take their cattle and leave, as per sources.
On July 19 also, the Chinese troops had violated the border in Chamoli district and were seen camping along with arms.
India and China are locked in a standoff at the border in Sikkim, the longest between the two countries since the 1962 war.
