Chilika DFO Arrested On Disproportionate Assets Case


Puri: Chilika Wildlife Division Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Alok Ranjan Hota was on Tuesday arrested by the vigilance department on charges of accumulating disproportionate property worth over Rs 1 crore.

On the allegation of assets disproportionate to the known source of income by Hota, the anti-corruption wing had conducted simultaneous search at five places.

The raids were conducted at Hota’s office in Balugaon, a house in Dumduma in Khandagiri, a three-storey house in Chandrasekharpur, an ancestral house in Biridi in Jagatsinghpur and a relative’s house in Padmapur under Balipatna police limits.

In the course of search and inventory, Hota was found in possession of assets worth over Rs 1 Crore.
