New Delhi: Senior Congress leader and former finance minister P. Chidambaram on Monday questioned Defence Minister’s statement on Pakistan terror attacks.
Chidambaram has said if Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was overlooking the terror attacks by Pakistan in the 2016 in Pathankot and Uri.
Taking a dig at Sitharaman for her statement that no major terror attacks took place in the BJP regime, the senior Congress leader asked Sitharaman to locate Uri and Pathankot in India’s map.
The Defence Minister was speaking at the Bharatiya Janata Party National Council in which she claimed that was no major attacks by Pakistan after 2014.
She said the government has taken concrete steps to eliminate all terror elements at the border itself.
It is worthwhile to mention here that the attack on the Pathankot Air Force Station occurred on January 2, 2016.
On September 18 later in the year, four heavily armed militants attacked an Indian Army brigade headquarters in the Jammu and Kashmir town at Uri.
