Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings displayed a clinical performance to defeat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 23 runs in the 22nd game of IPL 2022 season at Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai on Tuesday.
Shivam Dube and Robin Uthappa played knocks of 94 and 88 respectively as Chennai Super Kings scored 216/4 in the 20 overs and then the Ravindra Jadeja-led side followed it up with an all-round performance to outclass RCB.
With the ball in hand, Maheesh Theekshana scalped four wickets for CSK. Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed and Dinesh Karthik showed glimpses of brilliance with the bat for RCB but it was not enough and in the end, CSK registered a comprehensive win.
This is CSK’s first win this season, while RCB suffered their second loss in the ongoing edition.
