Chandu murder case accused’s house demolished

Bhubaneswar: Police on Saturday demolished the house of Ranju, the accused in Chandu murder case for encroaching upon government land and constructing a house on it as well as running drug trade from her house.

On September 9, Ranju and her associate Kanha had killed P Subrat Rao alias Chandu over extortion at a slum in Bhubaneswar’s Unit-8.

Ranju and Kanha had fled the scene after committing the crime. They were planning to leave for Kerala when police arrested them from Tara Singh area of Ganjam.

Raju had gone to jail twice earlier for her alleged involvement in drug trade.
