Centre must repeal 3 farm laws, says Bhartiya Kisan Union
New Delhi: Farmers on Tuesday said that they will not accept anything less than repealing of the newly-formulated farm laws.
Spokesperson of the Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU), Rakesh Tikait, said the farmers were prepared even if the issues takes over a month to get resolved. The BKU spokesperson said they have not received invitation from the agriculture minister on the issue.
Tikait dismissed the argument that protesting farmers were disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to the general public.
Media reports said vehicular traffic from Delhi towards Ghazipur and Ghaziabad on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway was affected.
The Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi criticized the Centre on farmers’ issue. The BJP government seems to be entangled in ego clash with farmers and added that the demands of Indian farmers are reasonable.
