Central University of Odisha to participate in CUCET

Koraput: Central University of Odisha, Koraput (CUO) is going to join the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) Consortium for admission to various Under Graduate, Post-Graduate and Research programmes this year.

CUCET is a national level examination which is regulated by eleven Central Universities jointly. It is a combined entrance test organized for providing admission into various Under Graduate, Post-Graduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes offered by the Central Universities across India. A student can get opportunity to choose for any course offered by any Central University.

To provide students a wider platform, CUO has joined this consortium. CUO will increase its National importance by inviting applications through this platform. The entrance examination is conducted once a year in various cities across the nation.

CUCET Registration will commence from March 2020 on its official website. Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria for CUCET exam can apply for the exam. The exam is conducted offline (pen and paper mode) for duration of two hours. The Central University of Rajasthan is the conducting body of this examination.

This year, the Central University of Odisha is going to invite applications for 30 programmes. These include 2year PG Programmes – M.A. in Odia, M.A. in English, M.A. in Hindi, M.A. in Sanskrit, M.Sc. in Anthropology, M.A. in Sociology, M.A. in Economics, M.A. in Journalism & Mass Communication, M.Sc. in Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Master of Business Administration (MBA) and M.Sc. in Statistics; 2 year UG Programme- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.); 5-year Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics; 3 year UG Programme- Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA); M.Phil in – Anthropology, Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Economics, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Odia, Sociology and Statistics; Ph.D. in – Anthropology, Biodiversity and Conservation of Natural Resources, Economics, Education, Journalism & Mass Communication, Odia, Sociology and Statistics.
