Bhubaneswar: A six-member Inter-Ministerial Central Team is in Odisha on a two-day visit to assess the damage caused by flood in the state in August.
The team is likely to visit Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara and Puri districts to evaluate the extent of damage and submit a report to the Centre, officials said.
Soon after arriving here on Wednesday, the team led by Praveen Vashista, Joint Secretary (LWE), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, will visit the affected areas.
The team comprises of members from the Ministry/Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Water Resources, Road Transport & Highways, Rural Development and Finance.
A wrap up meeting will be held with the team under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary on September 17 evening at the Lok Seva Bhawan here.
