Nabarangpur: A Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) of Jharigaon in Nabarangpur district landed in Vigilance net for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 27,000. The CDPO has been identified as Sushama Prasad.
Sushama had demanded Rs 27,000 from an Anganwadi worker (the complainant) towards a percentage of bills amounting to Rs 2, 11,250 for the supply of sweaters and dresses meant for the children in Anganwadi Centers.
Based on the complaint of the Anganwadi worker, a team of the State Vigilance launched a probe into the matter and arrested the CDPO.
Subsequently, simultaneous raids were conducted by the teams of the anti-corruption agency on properties of Sushama including her residence and office in Nabarangpur and Bhawanipatna.
