CBSE Announces Class XII Marking Plan, Results By July 31

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) submitted before Supreme Court the much-awaited evaluation criteria for awarding grades/marks for Class XII exams.

The Board told the Supreme Court that Class XII students will be marked based on Class 11 and Class 10 results. Total marks will be based on the school’s past performance in 12th exams, it said.

About 40% of the marks will be based on 12th pre-board and 60% weightage will be given to the performance of the students in Class 11 and Class 10 final exams.

Practicals will be for 100 marks and the students will be marked based on the marks submitted by the schools.

Results are likely to be declared by July 31, it said.
