Dharamshala: The cast of Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 on Wednesday arrived in Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh for their boot camp training before the sports drama kicks off in May.
The two-week long cricket camp will help the actors to train and play with the current cricket teams, who are the part of state-level cricket and Ranji Trophies from all across the country.
Cricketers like Kapil Dev, Madan Lal, Yashpal Sharma with others will give their expert tricks, interact with the actors and train them with master techniques.
Former fast bowler Balvinder Singh Sandhu is the coach of the onscreen team, fitness coach and former Mumbai Under-19 cricketer Rajiv Mehra has also joined as a trainer.
The team will begin shooting from May 15 in London and Scotland.
The film is inspired by Team India’s first World Cup win and Ranveer will be seen essaying the role of Kapil Dev. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and presented by Reliance Entertainment.
The movie is scheduled to release on April 10 next year.
