New Delhi: Budget will be in accordance with people’s expectations, according to Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur.
Thakur said ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’ has given a new direction to India. The Aatmanirbhar package will further boost the economy, he added. This mantra has protected the country from pandemic and bringing economy back on the rail, the Minister said.
He said the government took various steps such as increasing the scope of MNREGA, increased food grain supply for poor, better cash supply for small businesses among others, to address the arising out of the pandemic. Thakur said the finance minister has already promised a “never before” budget which is not seen in hundred years.
It is worth noting that Finance Minister’s Budget speech and the subsequent budget documents are not the only big-ticket events lined up during the day as investors will also keep an eye out for the 15th Finance Commission’s report today.
