BSF jawan injured as Pak army targets forward posts in J&K

Jammu: Pakistan Army has targeted forward posts in Kathua and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir. A BSF jawan was injured in the firing, army sources said.

The Pakistan army fired mortar shells and small arms, officials said on Tuesday.

The BSF jawan is identified as Constable Abishek Roy. He received splinter injuries when a mortar shell exploded near his post at Manyari in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district late Monday, the officials said.

They Pakistani Army opened fire and lobbed shells in the sector at 8.15 pm. The Indian army effectively  retaliated the fire.
