Bhubaneswar: The excise personnel on Wednesday seized 185 grams of brown sugar following a raid at Palasuni area in Bhubaneswar. Besides, the sleuths have also arrested a woman peddler in connection with the case.
Acting on a tip-off, the officials raided the place and caught the accused woman red-handed while selling brown sugar. The cops also seized 185 grams of brown sugar and cash Rs 11, 000 from her possession.
The estimated value of the contraband is said to be 18 lakhs.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of IPC and further investigation is underway into the matter, officials said.
