Kendrapara: A brother-sister duo died after reportedly being bitten by a venomous snake at Govindpur village under Aul police limits in Kendrapara district.
The deceased were identified as 11-year-old boy, Abhisek, and his 3 years old sister, Bhoomika.
As per reports, the duo was sleeping inside their house beside their mother when the reptile bit them.
While the family members were woke up after hearing Abhisek scream, the distressed mother spotted her son bleeding. Though both the minor children were carried to the hospital, they succumbed to the snakebite.
A pall of gloom descended on the village after the death of the siblings.
