Bright future built in classrooms: CM Naveen Patnaik


Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has said teaching is a noble profession as bright future of the nation is built in the four corners of classrooms.

Patnaik stressed that teaching does not mean only getting by hearts of study materials, but character building is the vital part of education.

In a programme held at Rabindra Mandap on Wednesday, the Odisha Chief Minister handed over appointment letters to 489 teachers and eight principals of Adarsha Vidyalaya. Patnaik said the state has 214 Adarsha schools and one hundred more will come up shortly.

The Chief Minister also felicitated nine students of Adarsha Vidyalaya who have come out with flying colours in its first batch of 10th class CBSE exam. Patnaik took the opportunity to dedicate the website on the occasion.

The programme was attended by school and mass education minister Samir Dash, advisor of Adarsha Vidyalaya Dr Bijay Sahu and other officials.
