Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand’s decomposed body found in Mumbai apartment
Mumbai: The decomposed body of yesteryear Bollywood actor Mahesh Anand (57) was found at his residence at Andheri in Mumbai on Saturday morning.
He’s believed to have died at least two days ago. Virtually jobless, he was living alone for several years. Anand was suffering from huge financial constraints for many years.
On being informed, the Versova Police reached the spot and the decomposed body was sent for autopsy to the Cooper Hospital to ascertain the time and cause of death.
Bollywood’s bad guy, Mahesh Anand featured in a negative role in several films opposite Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda and Sanjay Dutt in the 80s and 90s.
Anand had acted in major films like Ganga Jamuna Saraswati and Shahenshah (1988), Majboor (1989), Thanedaar (1990), Betaaj Badshah (1994), Coolie No 1 (1995), Vijeta (1996), Lal Badshah, Aaya Toofan (1999), Baaghi and Kurukshetra (2000), Pyaar Kiya Nahin Jaata (2003).
After a gap of over 15 years, Anand was recently seen in Pahlaj Nihalani’s Rangeela Rajaa with Govinda, which had released in January this year
