Sundergarh: The body of a 27-year-old girl, who fell into Ghoghara nullah while taking selfie at Kanakund in Sundergarh district yesterday, was fished out today.
The deceased, Anupama Prajapati (27), along with her family members had gone to the tourist spot for picnicking on Sunday. Anupama was taking selfies when her leg slipped and she fell into the river stream. Soon she went missing.
On being informed, Fire Service personnel reached the spot and launched a search operation.
The search operation was halted yesterday after evening due to darkness. However, it was resumed today and the body was fished out of the nullah around 11.30 am.
A family member said Anupama’s marriage was scheduled to be held on February 16.
