BMC Holds Training On Community Driven Approach Of Waste Management

Bhubaneswar: The BMC authority organised an orientation session of Swachha Sathis on Tuesday afternoon. In view of preparing communities to come forward with scientific solution of waste segregation 84 nos. of Swachha Sathis from the North Zone underwent the training programme.

The programme was conducted under the chairmanship of Commissioner BMC in presence of Addl. Commissioner I laxmikanta Sethi,  Addl. Commissioner III Suryawanshi Mayur Vikash  and Dy. Commissioner sanitation Suvendu Kumar Sahoo.

Rahul Tiwari a resource person from Feedback foundation facilitated the programme in a participatory approach.

As refreshment programme the training is intended to sharpen the knowledge and skill and to provide input of new initiatives of sanitation.  This zone wise training for swachha sathis will be completed in next two days.

Pictorial presentation, video learning approach, group discussion, experience sharing and community participation, case study sharing were the tool of training programme where participants could get supportive environment to learn for their field interactions.
