Bhubaneswar: Revenue collection has set a milestone in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) with Rs. 150.51 crore during the Financial Year 2021-2022.
Segregating the collection amount, Rs. 62.50 cr of holding tax has been collected up to 31st March and Rs.88.01 cr of other revenues collected up to 31st March. The collection comprises collection in online, and offline collections from big defaulters and other revenue collections.
The amount has set a record of revenue collection. While last year it was around Rs 118 crore, this year’s collection has crossed Rs 150 crore mark. Despite the COVID-19 situation and general election to BMC, revenue collection during the year is satisfactory,” said Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Srimanta Mishra.
