BJP to hold protest in national capital for West Bengal violence


New Delhi: The BJP has decided to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in the national capital a day after scuffle with TMC during Amit Shah’s road show in Kolkata.

The saffron party chief is expected to hold a press conference and meet the Election Commission regarding the violence in West Bengal during the election campaign.

According to reports, a group of TMC leaders will be holding a meeting in light of the violence that took place on Tuesday.

All India Trinamool Congress tweeted:”Trinamool Parliamentary team comprising @derekobrienmp, @Sukhendusekhar, Manish Gupta, Nadimul Haque seeks meeting with EC on May 15 in aftermath of an attack on Bengal’s heritage after Shah roadshow in Kolkata. Congress president Rahul Gandhi and AICC general secretary Priyanka Gandhi will be holding rallies and road shows in Ludhiana, Alwar in Rajasthan and Varanas ahead of last phase of Lok Sabha polls on May 19.
