Bhubaneswar: After Congress and BJD, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday nominated Dr Suniti Mund for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mayor post.
Lok Sabha MP from Bhubaneswar and former Bureaucrat, Aparajita Sarangi officially announced Dr Mund’s name as the Mayor candidate from BJP.
A few hours ago, state ruling BJD had announced three major Municipal Corporations’ Mayor Post, in which, the conch party nominated Sulochana Das.
Earlier, Congress had nominated Madhumita Acharya for Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Mayor post.
The elections to various posts in Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) are scheduled for March 24. The polls will be held in 67 wards in Bhubaneswar. For the first time, Mayor will be elected directly by voters. The results will be declared on March 26, 2022.
