Cuttack: Police have arrested Bobby Khan, a leader of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) student wing, in connection with an assault on a student at Ravenshaw University. The incident, which occurred on the university premises, has sparked serious concerns about campus safety.
According to reports, the victim, a student at Ravenshaw University, filed a complaint alleging that Khan and his associates intercepted him near the College Square area. The student was forcibly taken inside the university campus, where he was brutally beaten with iron rods.
The police acted swiftly on the complaint and arrested Khan. Investigations are currently underway to determine the motive behind the attack and the involvement of other individuals. This incident has heightened tensions on the campus, which has seen previous clashes involving political groups.
