Keonjhar: A father-son duo along with another child were killed after a speeding truck ran over them in Keonjhar district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Krishna Bhusal, his son Nikit Bhusal, and Santosh Sharma’s son Ganesh, residents of Azad Basti in the Joda area. Nikit and Ganesh were studying in Class 1.
As per sources, Bhusal, his son Nikit, and his friend Ganesh were en route to school on a motorcycle when they were struck from behind by a speeding truck, which then fled the scene. The collision was so severe that all three died instantly.
Subsequently, vehicular traffic on the route was halted as angry locals blocked the road, demanding prompt action and proper compensation. Upon notification, police arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the incident.
