Bhubaneswar: Bharatpur police busted a bike lifting gang and arrested two persons in this connection in the state capital.
The arrestees have been identified as Makar Maharana from Sobhagyanagar under Kalahandi police limits and Milu Jagdev from Khurda district.
As per reports, the matter came to the fore after one Jagannath Sahoo lodged a complaint with Bharatpur police station regarding his bike theft.
Acting on the complaint, police registered a case and launched a probe in this regard. After pertinent efforts, police arrested the two accused and recovered two stolen bikes from their possession.
Reportedly, over 15 criminal cases are pending against both the accused at different police stations in Bhubaneswar, police said.
