Malkangiri: In order to provide free bus service to patients and their attendants coming from remote Gurupriya and Motu areas to Malkangiri hospital, the state government today rolled out Biju Health Express.
Malkangiri Collector Manish Agarwal today inaugurated the ‘Biju Health Express’ at the district headquarters hospital in the presence of the other district officials.
Accordingly, two buses have been introduced from Motu to Malkangiri and Janrapai to Malkangiri. The health expresses will run on a daily basis which will provide free service to patients and their attendants coming from the remote areas of the Maoist-hit district.
While several villages are located far away from the district headquarters, a noble initiative to ensure free commute service for patients, as well as their attendants, will hopefully lessen the difficulties of the tribal people in getting better healthcare facilities.
