Bhubaneswar registers 39.4°C; Mercury to rise in Odisha in 5 days: IMD

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar recorded the highest 39.4 degree Celsius on Thursday even as temperature in most places of Odisha is likely to rise by 2 to 4 degrees in five days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that there will be no substantial change in the night temperature in the Odisha during the period.

The IMD said that dry weather prevailed over most of the districts and dense fog has occurred at one or two places over the district of Malkangiri and South Interior Odisha.

According to IMD the Capital city will witness a clear sky, and the maximum and minimum temperature will be around 38°C and 18°C respectively.

The other 15 cities in Odisha which registered temperature over 35 degree Celcius are Baripada 38, Angul 37.7, Talcher 37.1, Bolangir and Cuttack 37, Jharsuguda 36.6, Sambalpur and Chandbali 36.2, Nayagarh 36.5, Hirakud 36.1, Bhawanipatna 36, Sonepur 38.5 and Balasore 35.4 degrees.
