Bhubaneswar Blank Firing Case: Accused Fired Shots Using Wife’s Licensed Gun, Says DCP

Bhubaneswar: In a fresh development in the blank firing case at CRP Square in Bhubaneswar last night, the state capital DCP on Wednesday said that the shoot was triggered by a licensed gun.

The accused has been identified as Binay Acharya and he used the licensed gun of his wife who is a shooting player. The gun has been seized and the license will be cancelled, said Bhubaneswar deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Prateek Singh.

It is worth mentioning that two bike-borne youths fired two rounds in the air at CRP square in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday. The locals alleged that the duo resort to blank firing to spread fear in the locality.
