BHU students donate money to Cyclone Fani-hit Odisha


Bhubaneswar: The students of Banaras Hindu University (BHU) contributed to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund through an online donation.

Their donation was meant for rebuilding Odisha which was ravaged by Cyclone Fani,

According to sources, the students of the renowned University collected a sum of Rs.27,471 despite their ongoing examination.

Besides this, various other organisations and eminent personalities also contributed to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund.

An amount of Rs 10 lakh has been donated by the Odisha Police Relief & Welfare Fund. While Pragativadi donated Rs 5 lakh, Gupta Power infrastructure limited contributed Rs 11 lakh to the fund.

A total of Rs 40 lakh has been donated to the Chief Ministers’ Relief Fund on Friday, sources said.

Following this, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik extended his gratitude towards all the donors for their valuable contribution to the State.
