Bolangir: Nurses of Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital re-launched their cease work protesting the attack on a colleague by relatives of a patient.
The agitation comes after a nurse was attacked by relatives of a patient on Thursday night. While the agitation was launched yesterday, the nurses called off stir after the assurance of local police.
However, as no actions were taken, the nurses re-launched the strike ahead of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s Bolangir visit.
The agitating nurses also threatened to intensify the stir if their demands are not fulfilled immediately, sources said.
Reportedly, Pratima Pradhan was on duty at the female medicine ward when two men along with a patient reached the ward. Irked over a minor issue they allegedly manhandled and thrashed her, reports said.
