Bengaluru Open: Paes marches into semis with doubles partner Abden

Bengaluru: Leander Paes on Thursday entered the semi-final of the Bengaluru Open along with Australian partner Matthew Abden.

Paes, who is in his last year of professional tennis calling it “The Last Roar”, and Abden beat third seeds Andre Goransson of Sweden and Christopher Rungkat of Indonesia 7-5, 0-6, 10-7.

Meanwhile, Prajnesh Gunneswarah, Sumit Nagal, Ramkumar Ramanathan, Saketh Myneni, Niki Poonacha and Sidhart Rawat were all knocked out. With this, India’s challenge in the men’s singles event of the Bengaluru Open came to an end.
