Keonjhar: Police have busted a battery theft racket in Keonjhar with the arrest of two persons and seized 30 stolen batteries from their possession.
The two arrested accused have been identified as MD Sahid and MD Tabrej of Barkat area under Barbil.
According to reports, the matter came to the fore after one D Jalin lodged a complaint regarding the looting of batteries.
On the basis of CCTV footage of the shop, Barbil police started an investigation over the incident and nabbed the two accused from Chainbasa of Jharkhand district before selling the stolen batteries.
