Srinagar: A bank manager was shot dead by terrorists in the Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Vijay Kumar. He was working at Ellaquai Dehati Bank at Are, Mohan Pora, in Kulgam district in South Kashmir.
Kumar, who hailed from Hanumangarh in Rajasthan, was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
“Terrorists fired upon a bank employee (manager) at Ellaqie Dehati Bank at Areh Mohanpora in Kulgam district. He received grievous gunshot injuries in this terror incident. He is a resident of Hanumangarh Rajasthan. Area cordoned off. Further details shall follow. (sic),” the Kashmir Zone Police said in a tweet.
