Balasore: A man was killed in and road accident days before his wedding in Baliapal area of Balasore district.
The deceased has been identified as Tapan Das, a resident of Khagadapal village under Baliapal police station limits.
As per reports, the incident took place when Tapan along with his friend had gone shopping. While returning, the rider of the two Wheeler applied brakes to avert a mishap. However, the two-wheeler skidded off near Nidhipanda Chhak.
Tapan sustained grievous injuries due to the impact of the mishap and was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
Tapan’s marriage was scheduled to be held on Wednesday. A pall of gloom descended in the area following the mishap.
