Balasore: While Cyclone YAAS tore through Odisha on May 26, the Odisha goverment and the administrative authorities have begun the relief and review work in the affected districts.
However, amid the crisis, the ex-Sarpanch of Dagara gram panchayat in Baliapal block of Balasore district was arrested, while an FIR has been lodged against 3 others for reportedly stopping the vehicle of district collector.
Reportedly, the accused persons intercepted the district collectors’s vehicle while he was reviewing the post-cyclone situation in the area.
Considering it as an act of obstruction, the move was adopted, sources said.
