Tokyo: Wrestler Bajrang Punia clinched Bronze medal in Men’s Freestyle 65kg against Kazakhstan’s Daulet Niyazbekov 8-0 at Tokyo Olympics on Saturday.
Starting with a 2-0 lead against Daulet Niyazbekov, Punia made sure that he is not going to give a single point to the opponent.
Though Niyazbekov was defending every move of Punia, the Asian champion the bout 8-0 in a match where the Indian dominated from the word go.
Earlier he had lost to Haji Aliyev in the semi-final bout to miss out on a chance to compete for the gold medal at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics.
