‘Awam Ki Baat’ to be launched as outreach programme for J&K people
Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir administration has launched an outreach programme for participatory governance in the Union Territory.
This radio programme , entitled’Awam Ki Baat’, will be aired on the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s radio programme ‘Mann ki Baat’. The half-an-hour radio show will be aired every third Sunday of the month and will start from April this year.
This programme will allow the people of the Valley to interact with the government and give their feedback on issues of governance. Observers maintained that such a step will make governance interactive, participatory and people-centric.
The observers maintained that the idea is to make people active stakeholders in policy-making decisions. People’s suggestions are expected to be reflecting in the policies the government will be making.
